Latin For Beginners: Lesson 05.

Familia Romana: Capitulum II, Lectio I.

In this lesson, we read and discuss Familia Rōmāna's first reading (Lēctiō I) of the second chapter (Capitulum II).

Among the topics covered are the following:

  • The genitive case (nōm. Mārcus, gēn. Mārcī)

  • The Roman family structure (pater, māter, fīlius, fīlia, līberī, servī, ancillae)

  • Interrogative pronouns (quis?, quae?, quid?)

In addition, we continue practicing spoken Latin by reviewing everything we learned in the previous lesson(s).

(Video lesson held on June 8th 2024 by exclusive steaming on 𝕏/Twitter with the live participation of nine beginner students.)
