Latin For Beginners: Lesson 13

Evagrius Magister: Schola II

In this lesson, we read and discuss Evagrius Magister’s second chapter (Schola II).

Among the topics covered are the following:

  • The vocative case: Rufin-us → Rufin-e; Evagri-us → Evagri

  • The ablative case: in + abl. (place where)

  • Interrogative adverbs: Cur? Quid? Quot? Ubi?

  • Cardinal and ordinal numbers: I - X

In addition, we continue practicing spoken Latin by reviewing everything we learned in the previous lesson(s).

(Video lesson held on August 24rd 2024 by exclusive steaming on 𝕏/Twitter with the live participation of beginner students.)
