Latin For Beginners: Lesson 09

Familia Romana: Capitulum III, Lectio I.

In this lesson, we read and discuss Familia Rōmāna's first reading (Lēctiō I) of the third chapter (Capitulum III).

Among the topics covered are the following:

  • Transitive and intransitive verbs

  • Accusative case: Marc-usMarc-um, Iuli-aIuli-am

  • SOV Latin phrase structure (Subject - Object - Verb)

  • Iam nōn phrasal link

In addition, we continue practicing spoken Latin by reviewing everything we learned in the previous lesson(s).
