I watched a video on how to manually adjust a camera, then went to France with my cheap smartphone.
This is the result.
I apologize to my dear readers: this post is not about Latin. Last weekend, I was fortunate enough to visit France, specifically Caen, from where I traveled to the famous Mont-Saint-Michel to attend Sunday Mass. It was an unforgettable experience.
A few days ago, I happened to watch a video on YouTube about how to adjust a camera manually (for the curious, just search “photography basics”). Photography has long been a dream of mine, especially capturing castles, palaces, and statues around Europe. However, I’ve never owned a professional camera—not even close. For this trip, I relied on my budget smartphone, a simple Xiaomi I’ve had for years.
So, here is the result of my photographic efforts. I think some of the pictures turned out well! Who knows—if you, dear readers, enjoy this, perhaps I’ll start saving up for a better camera, putting a euro in the piggy bank for each like!
Let me know what you think. I hope each of you has the chance to visit this wonderful place one day. The West has so much worth preserving.

Stunning . You should spend more time visiting the cathedrals at Rouen , Rheims plus the monasteries, many of which still operate successfully ( thanks to the lack of Henry VIII in France and much rebuilding after the 1789 revolution ). You will not regret it .
These photos are beautiful!!
